GET STRONG, NOT OLD! #STRONGJudy WolffEmpower yourself so you won't fear falling or doing activities on the ground, such as gardening or playing on the floor with children or pets. You will strengthen your core and upper body muscles so you can push yourself up off the floor. We'll work on balance exercises to help avoid those falls in the first place. For total conditioning, we'll also do exercises to strengthen the hips, legs, arms, wrists, and of course, stretch to improve flexibility. This class will be friendly to those who have knee injuries and cannot kneel. Bring water, a mat or towel, and a pair of dumbbells (2-5 lb). If you have medical restrictions, please bring a note from your doctor to the first class. Judy Wolff is certified as a personal trainer by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). She was introduced to strength training in an A-B Community Ed. class in 1994. She now holds several world records in the bench press in the women's 55-59 age class.
