College Jumpstart: A Guide for Your College Application Process (Juniors & Families)

This seminar will help organize and prioritize your college search and application process. Find out what to ask at a college visit, which schools require additional application supplements, and the fundamentals of writing a college essay. We will go over the myriad of details that are part of the application process from how to build a college list to test taking strategies, to college visits and interviews, and more. During the seminar we will create a working timeline that will keep you focused and on track throughout the process.
Sue Wachter, President of Acton College Consulting, works with students and their families supporting and guiding them through the college admissions process. Offering direction and management very early in the process, Ms. Wachter sorts out and smoothes the way during a potentially stressful process. Formerly an admissions officer at a number of prestigious schools including New York University and Boston University, Ms. Wachter holds a B.S. from Boston University in Secondary Education and an M.S. from The Johns Hopkins University in Adult and Continuing Education.
