Jaclyn O'RileyThis class will be a fun and lively introduction to Irish step dancing. We will build a repertoire of beginner steps in reels, jigs, and slipjigs while focusing on rhythm, timing, and the relationship of the movements to the music. In addition to solo steps, we will learn group ceili and set dances. This class will be good for both new dancers, and those who may have done Irish dancing in their childhood and want to begin dancing gain. Please wear comfortable clothing. Please bring jazz shoes, ballet shoes, or ghillies. Jackie O'Riley began Irish dancing in her teens in the Boston area and learned from many of the local dancers.
