JEWELRY-MAKING #TJEWEL(Entering grades 9-12)
Laurie JaffeString beads on memory wire, beading and stretchy cord. Fashion your own clay beads. Create dangly earrings, sparkly bracelets and one-of-a-kind necklaces. Learn bead weaving stitches and stringing techniques to make pendants, animals and other "critters." Try out friendship bracelets and ankle bracelets, as you combine knots and beads in jewelry that you can give as gifts or keep for yourself. There is a $12 material fee payable to the instructor at the first class. Limit-8. Laurie Jaffe is the Reading Specialist at the Douglas School. Laurie also designs, creates, and sells beaded jewelry at craft and home fairs around the Boston area.
