(Entering grades 2-5)
Wicked Cool Science Staff
Up, Up, and Away! takes you on an investigation of all kinds of things that move through the air - from carnivores to contraptions! Take a look at birds of prey and find out what these modern day raptors like to eat. Build and launch your own rockets, copters and planes galore! Construct and fly a giant hot air balloon. Get to know bats - the only true flying mammal - and learn how they live and communicate. Finally, focus on the force that everything has to overcome to get Up, Up, and Away! Children should bring a clearly labeled backpack with them every day. Because we may be outside for some of the day, the backpack should contain sun-block labeled with the child's name. All children should bring a snack. Children should also bring a liter of drinking water every day. In case of accidents, back packs should also contain a change of clothes. Registration deadline- July 18. Limit- 30
