GUIDED TOUR OF #CON

CONSERVATION LANDS

This will be a guided tour of five of the larger Conservation lands in Acton. Hikers will be exposed to the trail systems and natural features of each property. The areas to be explored will be the Acton Center Arboretum, Grassy Pond, Great Hill, Nagog Hill and Spring Hill Conservation Lands. Among the highlights to be viewed on each of these properties would be an arboretum, wetlands, esker formations, apple orchards, a boardwalk into Grassy Pond, a skating pond, an Indian Grinding stone, Nagog Pond, egg rock, pine woods and open fields. Each walk will take approximately 90 to 120 minutes. Everyone should have hiking boots and clothes suitable for hiking. Limit 15.

NOTE: On the first week, meet the instructor at the parking lot behind the Acton Town Hall on Main Street.
