Sciensational Workshop Staff
Archaeology and Paleontology seem like big words to kids. Now Sciensational Workshop for Kids makes it come alive. Kids will do simulated fossil excavations with over 100 fossils, dirt, and lots of fun. Some of the fossils are up to 500 million years old. We will use cleaning brushes, lens magnifiers, labels and specimen bags. Identify 20 million year old shark's teeth, mammal bones and more! We will also be rock hounds as we identify different rocks and minerals. See our giant pumice specimen from Mt. Helens. We will also build some beautiful crystals to take home. Participants should bring a lunch and drink. Refrigeration not available. Sciensational Workshop staff provide hands-on science activities to over 4,000 students yearly.
