ARCHAEOLOGICAL FIELD SCHOOL #FIELD(Ages 12-18)Kimberley Connors-HughesJoin us as we discover Acton's past through a non-invasive field school using GPS technology to document the colonial era Wheeler Farm site in North Acton. The field school will focus on the science of archaeology including survey, research, cartography, field drawings and a field trip. This community archaeology project is a component of the Trail Through Time project. The TTT project is partially funded through Community Preservation Act funds and is offered in collaboration with the Science Discovery Museum. Please bring a lunch with drink, refrigeration is not available. Participants should wear long pants, hats and gloves. Please bring bug spray and wear sunscreen. Limit-20. Kimberley Connors-Hughes is the founder of Archaeology Outreach, a Mass Creative Teaching Partner, member of the Massachusetts Archaeology Society and was directly involved with Nashoba Brook Stone Chamber Project in North Acton.
