College Funding for the Affluent

Ed Oakes

Regardless of income, everyone is eligible for merit-based financial aid! Contrary to popular belief, your child doesn't have to be the smartest kid in the class to receive aid. It's a matter of finding schools that want your child and positioning of the child for that aid. At this workshop you will learn: The three kinds of financial aid and how each works. The best ways to pay for college instead of writing the big check. How college "matching" works successfully to reduce costs. Tips to ensure your child finishes college in 4 years (5 years for Co-op). Various ways to boost SAT scores. Why your child should take an ACT test. Before the college search process begins, we'll give you some insight on how finding the right college for the right reasons at the right price can maximize the experience and minimize the total cost for the student and parents. Presented by Ed Oakes of Oakes Financial Services.
