LEARN TO SEW: MACHINE SEWING FOR BEGINNERS #KIDSEW

(Grades 3 and up)

Learn to sew this Fall! Class starts with how to operate a sewing machine including how to thread a needle to winding a bobbin and everything else in between! Students learn by completing several projects. Projects to be completed include: Pajama bottoms, and an iPod/cellphone and/or another project as time allows. Patterns will be provided. Classes will be held at the instructor's sewing studio which is totally equipped with sewing machines for each student. A materials list and directions to the instructor's studio will be sent after registration. An additional $5 fee should be paid to the instructor at the first class for materials the students does not need to purchase. Rebecca Szetela is an experienced arts and crafts instructor whose sewing experience includes everything from making simple pillows to creating a satin and lace wedding gown, complete with "train" and hand-sewn pearls on each Chantilly lace flower. Limit each session 4.
