CHALLENGE LIFEGUARD RECERTIFICATION COURSE #RECERT
(Ages 16+)

Individuals previously certified through the Starguard program qualify for this class. The practical portion of this class is five hours long and contains a high level review of the essentials of lifeguarding as well as CPR and First Aid. Certification is good for one year. Please note that this an intensive review course and is meant to be a challenge course (similar to recertication courses of years past), rather than an instructional course. Please note: American Red Cross lifeguards must take the full new lifeguard course due to recent CPR and First Aid guideline changes that were not incorporated in the Red Cross curriculum at the time of previous certification. Students who do not pass this course will be required to enroll in the full lifeguard program and are subject to an increase in tuition charges. Due to the nature of this course, the entire course fee is non-refundable unless an extreme circumstance exists.
