GROUP GUITAR FOR TEENS #TGUITAR
(Grades 7+)
Shimon Ben-Shir
This is an introductory course for those who have never picked up a guitar before, or for beginners who can play a little and like to have fun playing with other guitarists. The primary emphasis will be on learning the instrument through reading melody lines and accompaniment with basic chords. A choice of songs will be covered. Bring your own guitar. Composer, music educator and Berklee College of Music graduate, Shimon has been performing and teaching music in the Boston area since 1993. Shimon's experience covers a wide range of musical styles including big band, jazz, blues, rock and pop. As a composer his compositions are influenced by the music of Latin America, the Middle East and standard Jazz. Limit 6.
