MICROSOFT WORD FOR BEGINNERS #WORD1

Students will start with the basics of MS Word, from opening the program to learning to change font sizes and styles. Students will learn to utilize many of the useful features offered in MS Word, from setting the margins to learning to use built-in templates to easily create professional, attractive documents. Class topics will include: familiarization and customization of the working environment, printing and saving, basic formatting, including margins, paragraphs and fonts, working with styles, bullets and list, spelling and grammar check, inserting images, working with the built-in templates and other topics selected by the class. This will be a hands-on class, and requires prior Windows experience and ability to use a mouse. Diane Aronson, Systems Analyst, Massachusetts Dept. of Employment and Training, treaches computer classes in other community education programs.
