YOGA FIT FOR TEENS #TYOGA

This class works on the whole body and mind and is designed for youth 12 years and older and all physical abilities. The Yoga Fit class promotes strength, stamina and flexibility, improves coordination and posture. As a mind body exercise, yoga also helps teens develop tools for improving focus, concentration, and relaxation. In a playful and non-competitive environment, teens will learn traditional yoga postures and flowing yoga sequences such as the sun and water dance. Group and partner exercises as well as breathing exercises, guided imagery, and relaxation will be included. Yoga is an excellent complement to other forms of sport and exercise. Pam Vlahakis, RD, M.Ed., RYT, is a Registered Yoga Teacher. She has been teaching kids, teens, adults and family yoga for the past nine years in the Acton and Concord area.
